Maria Macarle has been in the fitness world for over 15 years, in a variety of avenues. Maria excels in the area of exercise analysis and sports strength and conditioning. Maria has over 11 years experience as a Director of Fitness of a mid-size community center, where she created Heart Smart; a cardiac health and fitness program with North Shore University Hospital Plainview, New York. Maria is a former Fitness Coordinator of New York's Finest, NYPD. Maria best utilizes her skills as a Director of Athletics at Queensborough Community College and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Fitness Specialist curriculum at Suffolk County Community College. Maria was invited to work at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games as a member of Security and Heat Safety council, Paralympic Games, as a Volleyball Official, and the Goodwill Games as a member of services. Maria is a former bodybuilder, receiving the Most Muscular Female Award in both the middle weigh category and overall. In additiona to being a certified faculty member of the IFPA, Maria is a also member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
