Merry Christmas

By Jim Bell, PhD, CEO IFPA

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one's values."

- Ayn Rand

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Best Wishes from all of us at the IFPA!

We all have much to be thankful for.  This is the 13th Christmas of the IFPA and the 2nd Holiday Season with our rewarding affiliation with the A4M (American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine), ACASP (American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals), and Doctor’s Fitness Centers!  This is our first Christmas with our new affiliates Vortex, SciFit, and The Fitness Institute of Technology!

The IFPA, all of our members and affiliates continue to do battle against the epidemics of obesity, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease resulting from physical inactivity.  While we are engaged in this critical battle for the survival of the USA, it is essential that we not forget there are those who wage a more dangerous war for the survival of the USA.

We must never forget the best, brightest and bravest of our citizens, the American Military, who are now engaged in a Great War to defend not only the men, women and children of America, but every living being who desires to live safe and free!  Nearly 3,000 brave souls have paid the ultimate sacrifice and died defending our country, our people and our way of life, and those of other countries who could not defend themselves.  Many of our Great Warriors have paid with life, limb, blood and tears against an enemy as cruel, evil, and monstrous as any we have faced in our 230 year history.

In an unbroken line, from Bunker Hill to Iraq and Afghanistan, the indomitable spirit of the best, brightest and bravest of America’s Warriors continues to thrive.  They now endure the hardships and the terror of war with courage and gallantry so we can live safe and free.  They stand in harm’s way, between us and peril so we can live safe and free.  They give so much and stand ready to give their all.  Is it asking too much to give thanks this Holiday Season to say a prayer for all our brave men and women of the American Military?  Is it asking too much to walk up to them, shake their hand and thank them for their service?  Is it asking too much to support someone who is prepared to die for you?
