The IFPA has complied with
the IHRSA recommendation that health clubs accept only
certified personal fitness trainers that hold
certifications through organizations that have begun the
accreditation process through NOCA/NCCA. Our
application was sent to NOCA/NCCA in January, 2007.
On May 9, 2006, NOCA/NCCA sent the IFPA a
letter requesting additional information on three parts of only 3 of the
21 NOCA/NCCA Standards. The IFPA met this request on June 15, 2007.
The IFPA, along with IHRSA, are dedicated to
increasing the level of professionalism throughout the fitness
industry. All IFPA certified Personal Fitness Trainers have an
additional reason to take pride in their IFPA credential: In addition
to the NOCA/NCCA news, the IFPA is equally proud to have earned
providership of continuing education units through IACET, the
International Association of Continuing Education and Training. The
IFPA offers far more continuing education, advanced certification and
specialist courses than any organization in the fitness industry. We
are the biggest and we are the only IACET approved organization in the
fitness industry to prove we are the best! IACET is an important
credential to have as evidence of the superior quality of all IFPA
course offerings.
Congratulations to all members of the IFPA
team!
