New Research
Update: Our friends at the American Academy
of Anti-Aging Medicine and the American College of
Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals inform me
that in a recent study of dieters, those taking a
Vitamin C supplement lost more fat than those taking
a placebo. Though the process is not yet
understood, the theory goes that Vitamin C helps the
body use fat as a fuel source instead of burning
more easily available carbohydrates (or worst-case
scenario—proteins).

New Research from
the Medical Community: Recent reviews of
numerous studies have led some of our nation’s most
brilliant minds to conclude that drinking sugary
sodas can lead to weight gain (as much as 15
pounds/year), obesity, and associated problems.
This may be the same group that last week concluded
that gravity works!

New Breakthrough
on Women’s Health: I know I informed you of
this already, but it is so important, I feel the
need to do it again: the FDA approved a new
vaccine, GARDASIL, that is nearly 100% effective at
killing 70% of the viruses that cause cervical
cancer (the second leading cause of cancer death in
women worldwide). The A4M and ACASP are
recommending that all women get this vaccine ASAP!
