News on the Obesity Epidemic:

Under Secretary Eric M. Boost, USDA’s Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services  hosted a series of USDA Healthier Nutrition Forums across the US addressing the USDA’s role in promoting nutrition and reducing obesity rates. This important forum was moderated by Deputy Under Secretary Kate H. Coler. Participants ranged from national nutrition experts, the advocacy community, agriculture producers, state and local government agencies, school officials, teachers, parents and students.
