Secrets to Happiness

By Jim Bell, President - IFPA

In all honesty I wake-up everyday planning to do everything on the list below. But as you probably know already – Life is what happens when you’re making other plans. My New Years resolution is to start journaling again and I’m going to give myself points for every time I do something on the list and take points away if I do something contrary to the list. Why don’t you give it a try and see what happens?

Hope.
Dream.
Forget.
Forgive.
Be polite.
Be patient.
Apologize.
Play  hard.
Work hard.
Admit errors.
Conqueror fear.
Avoid mistakes.
Listen to advice.
Love completely.
Be understanding.
Keep your temper.
Give compliments.
Shoulder the blame.
Strive for excellence.
Make the best of things.
Maintain high standards.
Think first and act accordingly.
Put needs of others before your own.
If angry count to 10, if very angry count to 100.
Don’t sweat the small stuff – everything is small stuff.
