Beginning Strength Training for Kids CEC (4 credits)
This course is designed to further the knowledge of all fitness professionals with an emphasis on strength
training for young children. Its sole purpose is to further your professional education in working with children.
This is not a certification course. It is an educational program to be used by all fitness professionals striving
to raise their level of professionalism.
The Beginning Strength Training for Kids continuing education course provides invaluable advice and information
on strength development of children. This course presents safe and effective ways to create a program prescription
for children ages seven through fifteen. In addition to exercise guidelines and nutrition requirements, instructions
for 82 exercises are explained in detail. For general and/or sport-specific conditioning, using free-weights,
weight machines, cords, balls, or body weight, this course will show you how to encourage children to improve
their overall fitness as well as their self-esteem.
