Core Training for Athletes CEC (12 credits)

The Core Training for Athletes course is designed to further the knowledge of all fitness professionals with an emphasis on the athletic body in balance. Its sole purpose is to further you professional education. This is not a certification course. It is an educational program to be used by all fitness professionals striving to raise their level of professionalism.

This continuing education program will provide the information needed to teach you how to train for smooth, fluid movement and prevent muscle imbalances, mobility restrictions, stability problems and injuries. The focus of this course is how to identify functional weaknesses, correct imbalances, and refine sport-specific movement skills such as jumping, kicking, cutting and turning. You will see where conditioning breaks down and how to get your body back on track.
