All IFPA Members are requested to submit nominations for the IFPA Certification Commission before December 14, 2005.

The IFPA Certification Commission is made up of eleven members to fill eleven seats. Each seat requires members to meet separate eligibility requirements.

Simply click on the appropriate seat below for a detailed description of the eligibility requirements for each seat and to nominate your candidate.

Seat 1: Expert in Exercise Physiology/Science

Seat 2: Expert in Sports Medicine/Biomechanics/Exercise Safety

Seat 3: Expert in Program Design  

Seat 4: Expert in Fitness Testing & Evaluation

Seat 5: Expert in Nutrition

Seat 6: Expert in Health Club Business

Seat 7: Expert in Special Populations

Seat 8: PUBLIC MEMBER

Seat 9: IFPA Member at Large/Expert in Personal Training

Seat 10: IFPA Member at Large/Expert in Personal Training

Seat 11: IFPA Appointment*

* Seat 11 will be appointed by the Executive Board of the IFPA.

Anyone can nominate a qualified nominee to seats 1 – 10. The nominee DOES NOT NEED TO BE A IFPA Certified Personal Trainer.

It is critically important that you nominate the most highly qualified, professional and ethical individuals to the IFPA Certification Commission.

The IFPA Certificate Commission has complete autonomy from the IFPA and has complete authority responsibility and control over all aspects of the IFPA Certification Process.

The IFPA Certification Commissions serve as volunteers (no salary/compensation) though travel expenses and stipend may be authorized.
