Instructor of
the Year - 2004
The
recipients of IFPA honors have all made their destiny. They have all
made a dedicated effort to work hard to give their life meaning by
helping others find the path to the health and fitness lifestyle. This
year we honor a woman who made her own destiny, both personally and
professionally.
Early
in her exemplary fitness career she suffered a devastating back injury
that left her paralyzed from the waist down. The world’s finest doctors
informed her she would never walk again. Using her indomitable will and
sheer determination to make her own destiny, she not only proved them
wrong by walking, she returned to teaching Group Exercise, personal
training and excelling in a highly successful fitness career.
The
IFPA Group Fitness Instructor of the Year Award for 2004 goes to Joni
Taddie-Pitcock. She is the Group Fitness Director at Family Fitness
Centers, faculty at the University of South Florida, and faculty member
of the IFPA. Joni is a national fitness presenter, TV fitness
personality, published writer, cheerleading coach, former fitness
competitor and cheerleader. She holds multiple fitness certifications
and has been a certified IFPA Instructor for over 10 years. Joni has
served on the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports as well
as being the recipient of the Governor’s Leadership Award for Fitness
and Sports.
Joni
is a world-class presenter. She is among the world’s most charming
personalities and is a featured presenter at the IFPA Fitness By The Bay
Conference in Tampa, FL, July 28-30. Joni was an extremely popular
presenter last year and will be coming back this year with new and
improved presentations guaranteed to educate and entertain.
