Military Fitness Supplements: The amino acid: Beta-Alanine was shown in recent tests to significantly improve soldiers’ marksmanship and jump power. Israeli soldiers were given 6 grams of beta-alanine/day during a month of combat training. Previously, beta-alanine has been shown to improve muscle carnosine levels which increases power and reduced fatigue. Increasing carosine in muscles lowers p H. High intensity exercise increases p H which is a major cause of muscle fatigue. Beta-alanine is naturally found in beef, chicken and turkey.
