 Foam Rolling

Turn range of motion into real-world movement. This 6 Credit CEU teaches you to assess flexibility region by region, identify what truly limits motion (tissue, joint, or motor control), and choose the right method—dynamic prep, static holds, PNF/contract-relax, or mobility flows. You’ll sequence warm-ups and cool-downs, pair stretching with activation so gains “stick,” and tailor plans for lifters, runners, desk workers, older adults, and post-rehab contexts (within scope). Joint-friendly progressions, timing guidelines, and simple checks for carryover help you build durable mobility without overdoing it.

This course offers flexible learning pathways to suit your style:

  • E-course with E-book – Perfect for those who love learning on-the-go.
  • E-course with Printed Book – Ideal for a hands-on approach with the blend of digital and physical learning.
  • Printed Book with Physical Course Materials – Great for tactile learners who prefer comprehensive, hands-on materials.

Course Goals

  • Distinguish mobility vs. flexibility and match methods to needs.
  • Build head-to-toe routines that respect joint structure and tolerance.
  • Sequence dynamic → targeted stretch → activation for usable range.
  • Modify frequency, duration, and intensity by goal and population.
  • Track meaningful changes in range, comfort, and movement quality.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify common restriction patterns (ankle DF, hip ER/IR, hamstrings, T-spine, shoulders).
  • Select safe assessments (active/passive ROM, end-feel, movement screens) to guide choices.
  • Apply static, dynamic, PNF, and loaded mobility with clear timing and dosage.
  • Pair stretches with drills that reinforce new range in key patterns (squat, hinge, overhead).
  • Program weekly plans for general fitness, sport prep, and desk-recovery needs.

Skills Gained

  • Write quick full-body sessions (5, 10, and 15-minute formats).
  • Coach breathing, bracing, and positioning to reduce guarding and pinching.
  • Customize progressions/regressions with props, angles, and support.
  • Combine soft-tissue work and mobility to maximize carryover.
  • Document ROM and comfort changes to refine the plan over time.
