Christmas Cranberry Sauce

Christmas Cranberry Sauce

A Christmas staple in the Bell household. Enjoy Mrs. Bell's Cranberry Sauce.

  • 12 oz fresh or frozen Cranberries- I prefer fresh!
  • 3/4 cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Chambord
  • Zest from ½ lime and ½ orange

In a medium saucepan, add water, sugar and zest.

When starting to boil, add washed cranberries.

Bring the saucepan to a boil and add Chambord.

Lower heat to medium, and stir gently.

Cranberries will start to burst open. This will take about 10 minutes. When most have burst open, remove from heat and stir to the consistency of your choice.

We like it chunky, but you can smash the berries for a more fluid sauce.

This can be made and chilled in the refrigerator several days before use. May store for up to 10 days.
