Thanksgiving Gravy
Ingredients:
- Turkey Neck
- Turkey Giblet
- 2 stalks celery, cut in half
- 1 small red onion, quartered
- 1 hard boiled egg, chopped into small pieces
- 1 tsp diced pimentos
- 2-3 tbsp chicken base
- ½ - 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp corn starch
Directions:
- Cover Turkey neck to onion with water by 2 inches
- Cook low until all is soft (about 1.5 hours)
- Save liquid for later
- Chop all items from saucepan, making sure neck and giblets are very tiny
- In large skillet, add all chopped items, boiled egg to pepper
- Stir
- Combine cornstarch and cold water until dissolved to make a slurry
- Once dissolved add to skillet and stir until thickened
Serve with your Turkey and favorite sides.
