Thanksgiving Gravy

Ingredients:

  • Turkey Neck
  • Turkey Giblet
  • 2 stalks celery, cut in half
  • 1 small red onion, quartered
  • 1 hard boiled egg, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tsp diced pimentos
  • 2-3 tbsp chicken base
  • ½ - 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

 

Directions:

  1. Cover Turkey neck to onion with water by 2 inches
  2. Cook low until all is soft (about 1.5 hours)
  3. Save liquid for later
  4. Chop all items from saucepan, making sure neck and giblets are very tiny
  5. In large skillet, add all chopped items, boiled egg to pepper
  6. Stir
  7. Combine cornstarch and cold water until dissolved to make a slurry
  8. Once dissolved add to skillet and stir until thickened

Serve with your Turkey and favorite sides.
